Does a diamond appreciate in value over time?
Diamond is known as a symbol of everlasting love and commitment. But over the years people’s perception about marriage has changed drastically. Letting go of the past by means of selling the diamond engagement ring either by husband or wife becomes an acceptable reality. Part of moving on is security and knowing the value of your diamond is a good way to make a new beginning. A diamond’s value appreciates over time especially if the diamond is an “investment grade” type.
Is your diamond an “investment grade”?
Your diamond can be considered an investment if the diamond is an investment grade. This means your diamond passes the 4C’s – cut, color, carat and clarity. The better the cut, the lesser the color (whiter); bigger the diamond (higher carat weight); and the clearer (absence of inclusions); the more rare & more valuable a diamond is.
